Our approach draws strongly on Montessori in seamless harmony with other leading philosophies, Reggio Emilia and Emergent Curriculum.
Under the guidance of Habitat's Director of Curriculum, these approaches are carefully woven to reflect our commitment to the idea of children "living mindfully". To develop insight into their own lives and the world around them.
At Habitat, we aspire to:
- Model compassion, empathy and love in all their interaction with children and families;
- Cater to children's individual learning styles and multiple intelligences
- Develop children's meta-cognition, enabling them to operate at a higher level order of thinking, and
- Develop children's critical thinking skills to assist them cope with the fast pace of change in the 21st century.
